Project Highlights

  • This project is partially situated on the former Queen City Barrel site in Lower Price Hill. In 2004, a five-alarm fire devastated the barrel recycling business and facilitated the further deterioration of already compromised environmental conditions.
  • The City of Cincinnati began assembling property for this project in 2005.
  • Resurgence and Al. Neyer, Inc. teamed to respond to the RFP and were chosen as co-developers for the project.
  • Resurgence authored a Clean Ohio Revitalization Fund grant for the site and obtained $3 million for demolition and remediation.
  • As of August 2009, acquisition and demolition activities are complete. Remediation is ongoing and expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2010. Construction could begin as early as January of 2011.
